The death of Ragnar would be a good ending. The avenging of his death would be a good ending. Björn becoming king would be a good ending. But no they had to milk series until they ran out of ideas and went full game of thrones in the final season, completely fucking up character arcs, abandoning plot lines, half assing the cool stories and stretching out the boring ones. And before anyone says: "it's NoT tHe WrItErS fAulT iT's hIstOriCaLly aCcUrAtE." No it's not. Look it up. Most of the series storylines are completely made up or very loosely based on history. If you're gonna write a story, might as well write a good one.

Started the final season yesterday evening. It's not bad, it's not good either. Vikings is obviously the channel's moneymaker, which is why they didn't stop it after Ragnar's death. Which they should've done.

Yeah bruh.... absolutely fell in love with the show through season 3, didn’t mind 4, didn’t like 5 much, and 6 was just a bunch of wrap-ups. It didn’t end too terribly to me but BOI they went all sideways. Eckbert and Ragnar are two of the best TV characters I think ever made, I loved their dynamic. Lagertha was exceptional. Ivar and dickweed Rus dude were pretty shit, so was the other young brother. The older brother that isn’t Bjorn was just kind of okay. Rating the seasons, in order, I’d say: 9, 9, 9, 6, 2, 5. I’m re-watching to confirm now actually, my wife and I forgot what the fuck was going on by this season.
